The 6.0 system was the judging system used in competitive figure skating until 2005, when it was replaced by the ISU Judging System in international events.Skaters were ranked in comparison to each other in marks ranging from 0.0 to 6.0, with 6.0 being the highest possible mark.
However in Dancing on Ice they used the system with 5 judges to give a mark out of 30.0. Until series 6 when they changed the system to 3 judges giving a mark out of 10.0
Since Series 6 Dancing on Ice used a mark out of 10.0, in the qualifying rounds they didn't used .5s for unknown reasons, however they used them after the qualifying rounds.
